Can I download a trial of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and use the serial code?
Well I bought a Wacom Bamboo Tablet and it came with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. I put it into my computer and it didn't load.
Can I download Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 and use the code from 6.0? I have the serial number.

you should be good to install it on 2 different computers that you own. i recently purchased a new laptop that cam with elements 8 and a bunch of other software that i had to install separately. i was able to install it no problem on both of my computers, and legally it is acceptable because if you buy the software you are free to install it on however many computers you want.
The same is true with windows, microsoft office, most computer games, etc.
On occasion though it is possible to run into problems where they say "license already in use" or something to that nature. if you do, just contact customer over the phone and they should be able to walk you through the steps to activate it.
also specifically with photoshop elements 8 there is now an option to create a login ID, which is completely optional and not required to run the software, however i imagine it is to make the entire process of installing the software alot easier in circumstances such as these.
